Bay Creek Day of Giving – 6 Ways to Celebrate, Support, & Participate

October 8, 2021

For those lucky enough to live in Cape Charles, you likely know of Bay Creek on the Eastern Shore. As a Preserve Communities property, Bay Creek is an extraordinary place that not only benefits our residents it positively influences the futures of others. The mission of Preserve Communities’ corporate giving arm, the James Fisher Memorial Foundation, is to enhance the well-being of everyone in and around our neighborhoods. That’s why we cordially invite all Eastern Shore residents to our inaugural charity event, The Bay Creek Day of Giving on October 21, 2021. This philanthropic initiative offers six rewarding ways to celebrate, support, and participate in helping our local school system’s foundation, the Northampton County Education Foundation (NCEF.)

NCEF is a nonprofit organization that ensures excellence in teaching and student learning at all four Northampton County Public Schools — Kiptopeke, Occohannock, Northampton Middle, and Northampton High. Every dollar raised from the Bay Creek Day of Giving will go to the foundation. Your support will make a significant positive impact on NCEF’s critical needs, such as student scholarships, school grants, and especially the Pre-K Camp. The camp is a vital initiative, as it effectively positions at-risk children (and their families) on a more positive trajectory of success — one that often lasts throughout the child’s entire school career.

NCEF Board of Directors Chair Linda Schulz recently shared, “We are delighted that Bay Creek and Preserve Communities have chosen the Northampton County Education Foundation as the benefactor of The Bay Creek Day of Giving. It’s a wonderful fundraising opportunity for our schools, students, and teachers.”

Note — you do not have to be a golfer to lend a hand. Options abound for anyone interested in The Bay Creek Day of Giving. What’s more, you can join the fun either online or in person. Here are six rewarding ways you can help:

1 – Participate in the golf tournament

Play a memorable round of golf on Bay Creek’s award-winning, signature Palmer Course. Tickets are available for individuals and foursomes. They include greens fees, a golf cart, a delicious lunch, and entry to the Day of Giving Evening Benefit. Tickets are $150 for individual players and $500 for foursomes. Mulligans are also available for $25 each with a limit of 3 per person.

2 – Attend the Evening Benefit

The Evening Benefit is a gala not to be missed! It takes place by the Tree of Life at Bay Creek’s beautiful nature preserve. Your exclusive ticket includes access to A Taste of Cape Charles, an open bar featuring wine, beer, and craft cocktails, a live dance band, raffle prizes, and a silent auction. Tickets are $100 each. The dress code is smart casual attire. Keep in mind that temperatures tend to be a bit cooler in October, so please dress comfortably for this festive, outdoor event. Purchase your tickets now.

3 – Enter the silent auction

Our silent auction will be online and live during the evening of 10/21/21. It’s perfect for any virtual bidders who wish to participate from the comfort of home. No matter where you are in the world, all you have to do is log in and bid on your favorite items.

4 – Purchase raffle tickets

Purchase raffle tickets online for chances to win fantastic prizes. Of course, the more you buy, the higher your chances to win something great. Buy one ticket for $25 or boost your luck with five tickets for $100.

5 – Take part in the online matching campaign

We’ll be holding an online matching campaign where Preserve Communities will match every dollar donated up to $5,000. No act of generosity is too small. Make a donation, and you’ll make a meaningful difference in the life of a child.

6 – Be a golf tournament sponsor

Sponsorships are an excellent way to gain top-notch brand exposure and strengthen your company’s reputation in the community. Imagine your company logo on the golf carts, lunch boxes, or at one of our specialty contest holes. The opportunities are plentiful, and most include high-profile recognition on our event website, dedicated social media posts, professional signage, and more. Select your sponsorship level, and we’ll reach out immediately to ensure that all the details are handled to your satisfaction. See current sponsorship opportunities.

Recently, Preserve Communities CEO and Founder Jack Fisher shared, “When Preserve Communities first came to Bay Creek, we knew it was a special place. I’ve seen how this community has banded together to support one another and help any neighbors in need. We’re enthusiastic about The Bay Creek Day of Giving as well as continuing our support of the Eastern Shore.”
