For those lucky enough to live in Cape Charles, you likely know of Bay Creek on the Eastern Shore. As a Preserve Communities property, Bay Creek is an extraordinary place that not only benefits our residents it positively influences the futures of others. The mission of Preserve Communities’ corporate giving arm, the James Fisher Memorial Foundation, is to enhance the well-being of everyone in and around our neighborhoods. That’s why we cordially invite all Eastern Shore residents to our inaugural charity event, The Bay Creek Day of Giving on October 21, 2021. This philanthropic initiative offers six rewarding ways to celebrate, support, and participate in helping our local school system’s foundation, the Northampton County Education Foundation (NCEF.)
NCEF is a nonprofit organization that ensures excellence in teaching and student learning at all four Northampton County Public Schools — Kiptopeke, Occohannock, Northampton Middle, and Northampton High. Every dollar raised from the Bay Creek Day of Giving will go to the foundation. Your support will make a significant positive impact on NCEF’s critical needs, such as student scholarships, school grants, and especially the Pre-K Camp. The camp is a vital initiative, as it effectively positions at-risk children (and their families) on a more positive trajectory of success — one that often lasts throughout the child’s entire school career.
NCEF Board of Directors Chair Linda Schulz recently shared, “We are delighted that Bay Creek and Preserve Communities have chosen the Northampton County Education Foundation as the benefactor of The Bay Creek Day of Giving. It’s a wonderful fundraising opportunity for our schools, students, and teachers.”
